On the morning of June 6, the ‘Era Train’ Transportation Technology and Culture Festival, organized by the Student Affairs Department (Office) of the Party Committee of Central South University and hosted by the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, was held at the Wenqu Corridor. The event invited Liu Hui, Vice Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, to deliver a special lecture. Song Xiaodong, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Department, along with over a hundred teachers and students, participated.

At the scene, Professor Liu Hui, drawing on his own academic journey, delivered a lecture themed ‘Reset to Zero,’ focusing on the significant importance of a ‘reset to zero’ mindset for personal growth. He stated that upon achieving stage-by-stage successes, one should not become complacent with current accomplishments but should instead guard against arrogance and impatience, dedicating oneself to new endeavors. He encouraged young people to maintain a certain level of ‘relaxation,’ boldly pursue their interests and hobbies, explore the diverse dimensions of life, and discover their own limitless potential. Professor Liu Hui’s sharing not only enhanced students’ understanding of their academic discipline but also sparked their interest in exploring cutting-edge transportation technologies.

Subsequently, students participated in three fun and educational science popularization activities: the ‘Era Locomotive Exhibition,’ the ‘Train Puzzle Journey,’ and the ‘Transportation Version of Pictionary.’ These activities further deepened their understanding of the history of rail transit development and allowed them to appreciate the allure of advancements in transportation technology.
