President Choi Kiju of Ajou University, South Korea, Leads a Delegation to Visit Central South University

On April 21, President Choi Kiju of Ajou University, South Korea, and his delegation visited the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Central South University. Huang Helai, Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering; Gao Guangjun, Dean of the Dundee International College; Yi Liang, Vice Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, and other school leaders met with the guests.

Dean Huang Helai extended a warm welcome to President Choi Kiju and his delegation, and introduced the general situation of the school as well as progress and achievements in international industry-education integration. He stated that the school has formed a virtuous cycle of industry, university and research in international cooperation, and hoped that both sides would integrate global resources to carry out in-depth cooperation in high-level scientific research, talent training and cultural exchanges.

President Choi Kiju positively responded to the proposals on academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and undergraduate exchange visits, expecting both sides to advance practical cooperation starting from the transportation field.

At the exchange meeting, both sides fully recognized the significance of cross-cultural exchanges and cooperation, and conducted in-depth discussions on core topics including cooperation directions and modes, aiming to promote substantive and efficient cooperation in the future.

After the meeting, President Choi Kiju and his delegation visited the laboratories of the High-speed Train Research Center and the Smart Transportation Laboratory.
