On the evening of June 11, the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering held its “Unforgettable Memories, Unrestrained Youth” 2024 Graduation Gala at the auditorium of the Railway Campus. Attendees included members of the school’s leadership team, Zhang Guoqiang, Executive Deputy Director of the Railway Campus Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, Fu Zhuo, Executive Deputy Director of the school’s Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, faculty representatives, and all 2024 graduates. At the event, Yuan Shiping, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, delivered a speech.

The gala was divided into four chapters: “Beginning: The Start,” “Memory: The Past,” “Cherish: The Farewell,” and “Again: Setting Sail.” The program was rich and varied, covering forms such as dance, skits, and songs, while also incorporating interactive prize draws, providing an audio-visual feast for the teachers and students present.
Beginning: The Start
The atmosphere at the venue quickly rose with the hopeful and healing opening dance “RadiantBetter Mix,” officially commencing the gala. At the start of the chapter, the Blessing Band performed “Rising, Then Where To?” + “Drifting in the World,” meeting everyone at this time of spring warmth and approaching graduation. The dance “Garden Tour” blended youthful spirit with the essence of traditional culture, offering a visual feast for the audience. Class 2002 of Traffic and Transportation performed the chorus “Finale of Summer,” arranging the joys and sorrows of June into a melody and presenting beautiful wishes to teachers and students.

Memory: The Past
The skit “Where Has the Time Gone?” brought laughter to everyone while also pulling students back into the “fond memories” of “deadlines.” The dance “Entering the Painting of Jiangnan” by Pan Sitong and others from Class 2002 of Traffic Facility Design made the audience feel as if they were truly in the misty, rainy Jiangnan, appreciating the delicacy and gentleness of the water towns. Class 2003 of Traffic and Transportation performed the chorus “Summer in the Railway Garden,” once again playing the unique song of youth for graduates about to board this final journey.
Cherish: The Farewell
The Elementary Mathematics Band performed “Goodbye” + “Spring Rain,” using the interplay of instruments to perform the movement of farewell, piecing notes together into the “Goodbye” they were reluctant to say. The dance “Miaoyin Bird” conveyed the beauty of Dunhuang and passed on the charm of the Silk Road. Classes 2001 and 2002 of Traffic Control performed the chorus “The Brightest Star in the Night Sky,” expressing that farewell is also growth. No matter where they are, the brightest star of the School of Traffic and Transportation will always shine on the students.

Again: Setting Sail
International students led the audience to appreciate exotic customs with a “Jadeite Dance,” blending music and dance to let students feel unique cultural charm. The dance “College Students Also Go Crazy” showcased the expressive, individualistic side of university students, dancing out their own style and being the protagonists of their own life stages. As the melody of “Cheers” played, stories about youth, dreams, and friendship came to mind. The entire venue joined in the chorus, drawing a perfect conclusion for this gala and for this journey of youth.

Amid the enthusiastic atmosphere, the gala came to a close. We wish the 2024 graduates to become a wave forging ahead courageously in the vast ocean of life, to write their youth with struggle, and to contribute their wisdom and strength to the building of a strong transportation nation.
