School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering Holds 2024 Graduates Representative Symposium

On the morning of June 5, the 2024 Graduates Representative Symposium of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering was held in Room 119 of the Transportation Building. Attending the meeting were YUAN Shiping, Secretary of the School Party Committee; LI Yuan, Deputy Secretary; PENG Yong and CHEN Weiya, Vice Deans; faculty representatives, graduating class counselors, and representatives of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral graduates from the class of 2024.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary LI Yuan, on behalf of the school, expressed sincere congratulations to the graduates for successfully completing their studies and extended best wishes to them.

Subsequently, graduate representatives took turns speaking, sharing their personal growth and gains, recalling the guidance from leaders and teachers in their professional directions and the care received in daily life, and offering suggestions and expectations for the school’s construction and development. They stated that the School of Traffic and Transportation is a warm and united collective and expressed hope that the school would continue to develop positively and soundly in the future. The attending leaders and teachers listened attentively to the students’ opinions, engaged in cordial exchanges with them, and indicated that they would fully consider the requests raised by the student representatives to formulate and implement relevant plans.

Secretary YUAN Shiping delivered concluding remarks. He first expressed high recognition of the suggestions put forward by the graduate representatives for the school and stated that, as an institution for cultivating talent, the school would fully organize and mobilize the strength of outstanding students. Subsequently, Secretary YUAN earnestly advised the students present: As members of the Central South University traffic community, he hoped that students would continuously improve their own qualities and make outstanding contributions to the construction of China’s transportation industry and the development of social progress. He also encouraged everyone to actively participate in alumni exchange activities and continue to care about and follow the development of the university.
