On May 30, a 20-member exchange and study delegation from the Macau Civil Aviation Union, focusing on the Hunan-Macau aviation industry, visited Central South University. They were accompanied on the tour and during the subsequent discussion by Yihongzhi, a Second-Level Inspector of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions; Long Pei, Director of the General Education Department of the Provincial Education Trade Union; Ji Zhizhou, Executive Vice Chairman of the Central South University Trade Union; Yuan Shiping, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering; Li Yuan, Deputy Party Committee Secretary; and other relevant officials.

During the visit, Professor Zhou Wei, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Safety at Central South University, provided a systematic introduction to the Snow and Ice Wind Tunnel, the Rail Vehicle Full-Scale Collision Laboratory, and the High-Speed Train Aerodynamic Dynamic Model Laboratory. He also gave a detailed report on the development history and scientific and technological achievements of the university’s Rail Traffic Aerodynamics and Collision Safety Technology Innovation Team. Union representatives, including Hu Gaohong, President of the Macau Civil Aviation Union, and Deng Shaofeng, Chairman of the Board, actively participated in the exchange discussion. They expressed sincere admiration for the university’s research teams in serving the development of China’s high-speed railway and contributing to its progress from following to leading the world. The discussion also involved technical exchanges on issues related to Macau’s civil aviation and light rail sectors. Furthermore, there was extensive sharing of experiences regarding Central South University’s approaches to research team building, major platform development, and high-level talent cultivation.
At the meeting, Yuan Shiping, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, and Inspector Yihongzhi from the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions delivered concluding remarks. They suggested further strengthening cooperation and exchanges in the future to establish a long-term, mutually beneficial mechanism.
