At 10:00 AM on April 30, the “National May 1st Women’s Medal Recipient Enters Campus” series of labor education theme activities was held in Room 411 of Yuxiu Building at Central South University. The lecture was delivered by Professor Zeng Yanmei, a design expert from CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. The event was organized by the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee and hosted by the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Zeng Yanmei, under the theme “Plum Blossoms and Beauty Coexist, Craftsmanship Builds Dreams,” recounted the development history of Chinese railway locomotives. She vividly presented the tremendous changes that occurred in China’s railways before and after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, allowing students to understand how the Chinese people established their own confidence in railway locomotives. She then discussed the overview of Hunan’s rail transit and her own challenging yet rewarding years in the rail transit field, once again demonstrating the power of craftsmanship as a model worker. During her speech, Professor Zeng Yanmei frequently posed questions, guiding students to think and respond actively, while presenting them with exclusive locomotive cards as rewards. Finally, Professor Zeng Yanmei expressed her hope that students would persist in craftsmanship and continue learning.

With this, the “National May 1st Women’s Medal Recipient Enters Campus” event concluded. Professor Zeng Yanmei used her personal experiences to interpret the power of labor and the spirit of craftsmanship, delivering a vivid and profound labor education lesson to the students present. This inspired them to reflect deeply on the value of labor and encouraged more people to engage in labor practices.
