Vice President of MOFCOM Academy for International Business Officials Visits School for Research

On the afternoon of May 15, Lei Hao, Vice President of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) Academy for International Business Officials, visited the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering to conduct research on the MOFCOM Foreign Aid Degree Education Program. The purpose of this research visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of the Foreign Aid Degree Education Program and to explore ways to further enhance the program’s quality and effectiveness. Hu Songqiang, Director of the Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Division of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, along with relevant officials from the International Education College, the Xiangya School of Nursing, and the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, attended the meeting.

Vice President Lei Hao and his delegation first visited the international student dormitories and laboratories, offering high praise for the school’s hardware environment and teaching conditions.

Subsequently, the research team reviewed relevant archival materials, gaining a detailed understanding of each stage in the implementation process of the MOFCOM Foreign Aid Degree Education Program. They fully affirmed the program’s standardization, innovation, and effectiveness. During the symposium, Huang Helai, Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, reported on the progress, achievements, and future plans for the school’s foreign aid training work. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as how to strengthen cooperation and jointly advance the development of foreign aid training initiatives.


The Foreign Aid Degree Education Program aims not only to cultivate high-level international talent but also serves as a significant measure in supporting the nation’s internationalization strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative. Vice President Lei Hao emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to standardization throughout the program’s execution, ensuring every phase of implementation follows established procedures. He also highlighted the need to effectively promote the program’s distinctive features and strengths to enhance its social impact and international visibility.

The research visit concluded successfully in a warm and pragmatic atmosphere. Both parties agreed to use this visit as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and jointly promote the development of the Foreign Aid Degree Education Program to a higher level and greater depth. They committed to actively contributing to the cultivation of more outstanding international business professionals and supporting the nation’s strategy of opening up to the world.
