School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering Visits Enterprises in Guangzhou and Shenzhen for Special Action to Expand Employment Opportunities

To thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council regarding the employment of university graduates, deepen the collaborative education mechanism between universities and enterprises, broaden student employment channels, and promote the deep integration of the education chain and talent chain with the industrial chain and innovation chain, the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering of Central South University, in collaboration with the Business School, conducted the 2025 special action “Visiting Enterprises to Expand Posts and Promote Employment” in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from July 14 to 17. Li Yuan, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, along with counselors from various grades, visited Guangzhou Port Logistics Co., Ltd., China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd., Honor Device Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Qianfenyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., CITIC Securities Shenzhen Branch, and Shenzhen SF Taishen Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd., jointly exploring new pathways for cooperation.


On the afternoon of July 14, the team first visited Guangzhou Port Logistics Co., Ltd. Liu Heshun, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Logistics Co., Ltd., and Yan Yan, Manager of the Human Resources Department, attended the university-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting. During the meeting, Liu Heshun systematically introduced the port’s development pattern, multimodal transport business, and the growth of Central South University alumni. Both sides discussed trends in the smart logistics industry and mechanisms for joint talent cultivation. Alumni representatives Qu Yongjun and Bi Yuming provided suggestions for optimizing academic disciplines based on their career development experiences.

On the morning of July 15, the team went to China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. for a discussion and exchange. Xiao Shuanghe, Deputy Director (Deputy Minister) of the Personnel Department (Party Committee Organization Department), and Wu Wenhui, Section Chief of the Technical Cadre Section of the Personnel Department (Party Committee Organization Department), provided detailed introductions to the enterprise’s talent strategy and recruitment policies. Li Yuan expressed gratitude for the long-term support from China Railway Guangzhou Group. The group has consistently made our university the first stop for its autumn campus recruitment for many years, establishing a sound talent cultivation cooperation relationship with the university and the school. Both sides reached a consensus on talent cultivation and university-enterprise cooperation around the development needs of intelligent rail transit, agreeing to further deepen cooperation in areas such as internships, employment, and technological research.


On the morning of July 16, the team visited Honor Device Co., Ltd., gaining an in-depth understanding of Honor’s latest technological achievements in the smart device field. You Yong, Campus Recruitment Director; Li Xinghua, Supply Chain Recruitment Manager; Luo Shuping, Campus Recruitment Manager; and two alumni representatives participated in the exchange. During the exhibition hall tour, the team experienced innovative technologies such as AI takeovers, image editing, and real-time translation in a series of smartphones, gaining an intuitive sense of the development trend where AI terminals are accelerating their transition from single devices to a full-scenario smart ecosystem. This visit provided new ideas for university-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation. In the future, the school will continue to monitor industry trends, helping to deeply integrate student growth with industrial needs.


On the afternoon of July 16, the team visited Shenzhen Qianfenyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., discussing the transformation of industry-university-research in the intelligent equipment field and the cultivation and guidance of entrepreneurship and employment perspectives with Deng Jian, Chairman of Qianfenyi and a 2010 alumnus, and Su Junwei, Co-founder of Qianfenyi and a 2011 alumnus. Deng Jian encouraged students to actively innovate, dare to start businesses, and seize the opportunities of the times.


On the morning of July 17, the team went to CITIC Securities Shenzhen Branch for a discussion with Wang Xinxin, Head of the Internet Finance Department (Shenzhen) at CITIC Securities, and Zang Jianchong, Human Resources Head of CITIC Securities Shenzhen Branch. The discussion focused on in-depth exploration of joint cultivation pathways for interdisciplinary talents in the fintech field. Both sides exchanged views on how to integrate financial business knowledge, cutting-edge information technology, and industry application scenarios to jointly build an interdisciplinary, practical talent cultivation model adapted to future development.


On the afternoon of July 17, the team visited Shenzhen SF Taishen Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. for an exchange. Wang Zipeng, Senior Director of Talent Development; Li Shaoqiang, Campus Recruitment Lead; Shang Qingyi, Senior Manager of Campus Scenario Marketing Strategy; Zhu Qian, Senior Manager of Talent Development; and Huang Ting, Senior Manager of Network Model Research, participated in the discussion. Both sides focused on in-depth discussions regarding campus scenario marketing, network operation research, and customized internship programs, reaching multiple cooperation intentions. SF specifically introduced the company’s achievements in digital transformation for To B business, empowering enterprise clients through technologies like smart supply chains and big data analytics, showcasing new trends in the intelligent upgrade of the logistics industry. This discussion established a new platform for university-enterprise cooperation, which will promote the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, helping to cultivate innovative talents adapted to industry development.


This enterprise visit and post-expansion activity effectively deepened mutual trust between the university and enterprises, laying a solid foundation for future deep cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and scientific research innovation. The school will continue to improve the three-dimensional linkage mechanism of “enterprise-alumni-school,” focusing on cultivating students’ professional self-drive and cross-domain interpersonal communication skills through measures such as dynamically adjusting curriculum settings, innovating order-based cultivation models, and promoting joint research projects. This aims to achieve a two-way improvement in employment quality and educational effectiveness, supplying high-quality interdisciplinary talents who understand both technology and collaboration for the construction of a transportation powerhouse and a digital China.
