At 19:00 on June 10, the “Stellar Tracks, Dreams Embark on a New Journey” 2025 Graduation Gala for the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering of Central South University was held in the auditorium of the Tianxin Campus. Attendees included Ling Chunyu, a senior organizational member from the University Party Committee Organization Department; Cao Yaoqian, Director of the Railway Campus Management Committee; Zhang Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the Railway Campus Working Committee; Yuan Shiping, Party Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering; Li Yuan, Deputy Party Secretary; Peng Yong, Vice Dean; representatives of graduation class advisors; and all 2025 graduates. At the event, Yuan Shiping, the School’s Party Secretary, delivered a speech.
The graduation gala featured numerous highlights and splendid performances. The opening dance “THE CHASE,” performed by Zhong Yinling and others, depicted youth setting sail at dawn, using stars as oars to dance through a brilliant chapter of youth. The guitar performance and singing of “Those Flowers” by Shi Dawei and others gently strummed the melodies of youth, reciting a tender farewell. The dance “NEW DANCE” by Long Yating and other students expressed campus nostalgia through lively movements, sharing the passion of graduation. The acrobatic performance “Lion Leaps Forward” by Zhang Yixi and others featured powerful drumbeats and agile lion movements, symbolizing students leaping courageously and diligently toward the future like lions. The guzheng performance “Spring Arrives at the Xiang River” by Li Congxiao flowed like a beautiful painting, conveying memories of studying by the Xiang River and a bright future.
The dance “SHUT DOWN” performed by You Xinyu and others showcased unceasing youth through passionate movements, interpreting dreams forging ahead through waves. The song “Years” sung by Li Li and Li Junbo chanted sincere friendships amidst shifting light and shadow, expressing the candid sentiment of “cherishing those before you.” The dance “Trace·Leap” by Zhang Xinyi and other students displayed the power of resilience against the current and spirited leaping through agile dance. The original song “Reverse June” by Yang Gengsheng and Shi Dawei used a melody that reverses time, turning farewell into an inverted reunion. The recitation “Seven-Colored Light” by Xiong Zitong and others gathered the light of the soul, reigniting youthful vows to cleave through chaos. Looking back on the four university years, the song “Melody of Graduation Season” used music as a boat and stories as oars, taking everyone through the tides of memory, freezing the highlights of university life. As a mysterious program, the duet “Unheard Name of CSU” by Teacher Zhang Jian and Teacher Wang Yushan sang the shared sentiment of all graduates—nostalgia for the beautiful times of the past four years.
Accompanied by the chorus “A Friend Like You,” the brief yet splendid graduation gala concluded in a joyful atmosphere. In this midsummer, students sang their confessions to youth, their expectations for the future, and the beautiful memories of all graduates at the foot of Yuelu Mountain and within the Railway Campus.
We wish all graduates embarking on new journeys not to forget the university motto “Integrating Knowledge with Action, Applying Learning to Benefit Society,” and to begin their own journeys of passion, struggle, and dream pursuit. May all 2025 graduates carry the expectations of the university, the school, and their teachers, strive diligently, and find their own tomorrows.
