Theme Red Song Chorus Competition ‘Celebrating the Anniversary with Red Songs’ Held

At 19:30 on September 28, the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering of Central South University held the theme red song chorus competition ‘Celebrating the Anniversary with Red Songs’ at the Harmony Hall of Yuxiu Building on the New Campus and the auditorium of the Railway Campus. Chen Yuru, former Executive Vice Chairman of the Central South University Trade Union, Li Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, and Ding Dexiao, a counselor of the School, attended the competition at the South Campus. At the opening of the Railway Campus venue, Secretary Yuan Shiping delivered an opening speech. He stated that the successful organization of the competition was inseparable from the mutual connection and cooperation among the student classes. The participating classes in this competition included 12 classes from the South Campus and 9 classes from the Railway Campus. Through rehearsal and refinement, they presented a stunning audio-visual feast for the audience. The chorus repertoire was diverse, such as the majestic and powerful ‘Defend the Yellow River’ and the melodious and graceful ‘I Love You, China’. Each participating team showed ingenuity by incorporating various performance forms, leading singing with recitation, and changing formations, thereby enhancing the beauty of the chorus.

When Class 2302 of Traffic Signal and Control sang ‘Song of Seven Sons’, they displayed the national flag and the flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region. The interplay of light and shadow on the flags, accompanied by the clear female lead voice, evoked feelings of warmth and beauty. The competition proceeded in an orderly manner, with continuous applause from the audience after each song.
