On the afternoon of April 9, a five-member delegation led by Zhang Hang, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering at Southeast University, visited the School for an exchange. Li Yuan, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering at Central South University, along with Fan Jiajun, Director of the Student Affairs Office, Zhang Jiaqi, Deputy Director, and several other student affairs cadres attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Deputy Party Secretary Li Yuan extended a warm welcome to Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Hang and the delegation. She provided a detailed overview of the overall student work at the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering of Central South University, sharing typical experiences and practices across multiple dimensions, including the construction of the counselor team, employment value guidance, fostering students’ sense of belonging and identification with the School, the development and cultivation of Party members, and the training of student cadres. Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Hang specifically introduced the historical evolution and the general student work situation of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering at Southeast University, emphasizing the important value of publicity work in enhancing students’ professional identity and sense of belonging. She expressed the hope to maintain long-term communication and exchange with the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering at Central South University in student work, learning from each other and making progress together.

Following this, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as improving the construction of the counselor team, strengthening the education of ideals and beliefs among university students, and exploring employment education methods that align with the characteristics of the transportation industry in the new era. The participants brainstormed together, offering suggestions for innovating student work pathways and enriching ideological and political education methods.
