The 16th National Youth Academic Conference on Transportation Engineering was successfully held

From October 24 to October 26, the 16th National Youth Academic Conference in the Transportation Field was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan. This grand event was hosted by the Youth Science and Technology Workers Working Committee of China Transportation Association (hereinafter referred to as "Qingkewei"), with Central South University serving as the organizing unit, providing strong support for the smooth running of the conference. Distinguished guests including Academician Tian Hongqi of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice President Zhang Chunzhi of China Transportation Association, Executive Deputy Party Secretary Liu Pan of Southeast University, Vice President Zhang Di of Wuhan University of Technology, and Party Secretary Wu Chaozhong of Hubei University of Arts and Science attended the conference. Huang Jianling, Deputy Party Secretary of Central South University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, extending warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and expressing sincere welcome to all participants.

Under the theme "Safety, Intelligence, Networked Connectivity, and Green Integrated Transportation Ecosystem Innovation," this academic conference delved into cutting-edge topics including highway transportation systems and forward-looking design, rail transit and advanced transportation solutions, waterway transport systems and navigation safety, aviation systems and flight safety, artificial intelligence and smart transportation systems, as well as energy integration and low-carbon transition in transportation. Scholars, experts, and young researchers engaged in extensive discussions on these issues, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and exchange among emerging transportation technology professionals.

The conference attracted over 500 experts, scholars, and young scientific researchers from more than 160 institutions nationwide, demonstrating both grand scale and profound impact. Concurrently, the State Council Academic Degrees Committee's Transportation Engineering Discipline Evaluation Group convened a working meeting, providing crucial guidance for disciplinary development. Eight parallel sub-forums were held, covering topics such as road transportation vehicles and design planning, rail transit and transport vehicles, waterway transportation and safety, air transport and safety, transportation-energy integration, transportation AI, and two youth forums. A total of 84 parallel forum sessions were organized, including 12 invited presentations, featuring diverse content and innovative formats.
