Team Leader Profile
Tang Jinjun, the team leader, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Hunan Key Laboratory of Smart Transportation and the Academic Leader of the Traffic Big Data Analysis and Intelligent Transportation discipline. He is a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier, a World's Top 2% Scientists, and a Young Scholar of the "Furong Scholars Program" in Hunan Province. His main research focuses on traffic big data analysis and modeling, as well as the life cycle assessment of key components for new energy vehicles.
Research Team Overview
The research team is affiliated with Central South University, a Class A university under China’s Double First-Class University Initiative. Its discipline of Transportation Engineering is designated as a national Double First-Class construction discipline (rated Grade A in the national discipline evaluation). The team is supported by research platforms including provincial key laboratories in Hunan and a high-level talent team led by distinguished scholars such as the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program experts.
The team has well-equipped basic platform of transportation laboratories, including a real-time traffic flow monitoring system, a vehicle speed monitoring system, a passenger flow statistics system, and professional traffic analysis software such as PTV Vissim, Visum, EMME, AIMSUN and TransCAD. The platform also encompasses an internet of vehicles (IoV) driving simulation system, a Crash Investigation and Multidisciplinary Analysis System for Traffic Accidents (CIMMS-TA), and an urban road network operation simulation system.
