The institute currently consists of six members, including four professors (Li Xiongbing, Yao Song, Li Yingli, Zhang Shuzeng), one associate professor (Chen Feng), and one assistant Professor (Chen Xing). Over the past five years, the team has presided over more than 10 projects, including key national research and development program projects and National Natural Science Foundation projects, as well as over 20 enterprise-funded projects. They have published over 100 academic papers, been granted more than 40 patents, and received seven national and provincial-level scientific research awards.

It aims to enhance the comprehensive performance, reliability, and maintenance efficiency of equipment from the perspective of ensuring safety throughout its entire lifecycle. This is achieved by integrating advanced structural optimization and safety design, intelligent manufacturing, in-service safety monitoring, and vibration and noise reduction techniques. Through the in-depth integration of multidisciplinary technologies, the team promotes the intelligent and refined design, manufacturing, in-service operation, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring its efficient and safe performance under complex environmental conditions.
