To address the major demands for efficiency improvement and safety assurance in high-speed railways, heavy-haul railways, existing railways, cross-border railway transportation, and urban rail transit, breakthroughs have been made in a series of core technologies such as networked operations and intelligent management, focusing on key challenges including train operation plans, train schedules, special cargo transportation, station workflow organization, multimodal transport coordination, and transport revenue management. An intelligent optimization platform for networked transport organization has been developed, establishing an integrated decision-making technology system covering the entire process of rail transport organization from "analysis-evaluation-control-optimization." By 2025, six major national-level key projects in key research, natural sciences, and social sciences, as well as 37 general and youth projects, have been led. The team has received one National Science and Technology Progress Award First Prize, one Ministry of Education Technical Invention Award Second Prize, and 16 other science and technology progress awards including those from the China Railway Society, China Transportation Association, China Artificial Intelligence Society, and China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing. These achievements have been successfully applied in industry enterprises such as China State Railway Group, China Energy Investment Corporation, Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, Railway Design Institute, and urban subway systems, providing core technological support for the high-quality development of the rail transit industry.
