On the afternoon of January 10, 2024, a delegation from Wuzhong District, Suzhou visited the Railway Campus of Central South University to conduct a focused investigation into industry-university-research cooperation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The delegation included Yang Yifan, Deputy Director of the Public Opinion Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Deputy Director (on secondment) of the Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and Head of the Suzhou Wuzhong Delegation; Ma Hongwei, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Wuzhong High-tech Zone; Liu Hongwei, Professor at Tianjin Polytechnic University and member of the Suzhou Wuzhong Delegation; Zhang Wenjing, staff member of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone; and Zhang Yang, Investment Promotion Manager of Wuzhong High-tech Investment Promotion Co., Ltd. They were received by Yuan Shiping, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Central South University, along with Ge Shengchang, Zhou Wei, Liu Xiang, Zhang Jie, and others from the High-Speed Train Research Center.
At the meeting, Secretary Yuan Shiping extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to the visiting guests. He mentioned that he hopes the scientific and technological achievements from Central South University’s rail transit discipline can inject new vitality into the manufacturing development of Wuzhong District. He also expressed hope that Wuzhong District’s favorable innovation environment could provide a platform and opportunities for the application of relevant disciplinary achievements. He looked forward to this investigation and exchange serving as a good start for cooperation between the two sides, laying the foundation for subsequent industry-university-research collaboration.
Subsequently, Central South University introduced its scientific research innovation work and research achievements related to rail transit. Wuzhong District presented its development status, overall innovation environment, and talent support policies. Both sides engaged in discussions and exchanges on potential points for industry-university-research cooperation, laying the groundwork for future collaboration. After the meeting, the participants jointly visited the Train Aerodynamic Characteristics Moving Model Laboratory, the Real Vehicle Collision Laboratory, and the Passenger Compartment Environment Guarantee System.
