From November 7 to 9, the 2025 China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Expo, themed "Connecting the World via Railways, Connecting the Future with Maglev," was held at Zhuzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. As a research hub and talent incubator in China's rail transit sector, Central South University actively participated in this industry event, showcasing key technologies such as rail transit aerodynamics, train collision dynamics and collision safety protection, comprehensive wind environment safety driving protection, train cabin environmental quality and safety assurance, railway transportation safety for oversized and oversized goods, rail transit human factors engineering, rail transit noise and vibration control, intelligent train operation organization for high-speed rail and urban rail transit networks, and heterogeneous collaborative operation control for heavy-haul combined trains. The university also presented original scientific achievements including the railway vehicle boundary intelligent detection system, on-board environmental wind speed monitoring system, freight car axle source power drive on-board power generation device, new anti-sandstorm/rainwater pressure sensors, integrated brake tube wind pressure-temperature monitoring module, and three-directional force-measuring coupler. These innovations were shared with global leading enterprises and expert peers to jointly map a new blueprint for high-quality rail transit development.

"Participating in this expo is not only a window to showcase the research capabilities of Central South University's Transportation Engineering discipline, but also an excellent platform for in-depth interaction with the industry and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements," said Zhou Wei, deputy director of the High-Speed Train Research Center at Central South University. "What we bring is not isolated laboratory technologies, but innovative achievements that have been closely collaborated with leading enterprises such as China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation and have been validated through practice or demonstrate clear application prospects. We look forward to exchanging ideas with global peers through the expo and jointly addressing common technological challenges in industry development."

As an important base for talent cultivation and scientific innovation in China's rail transit sector, Central South University has trained tens of thousands of professionals for the country's rail transit industry. Its research achievements have been widely applied to high-speed railways such as the Beijing-Shanghai line, various high-speed trains including the Fuxing series, plateau and cold-region railways like Xinjiang, international high-speed railways such as Indonesia's Yawan, and urban rail transit systems exported to countries like the United States. This exhibition not only serves as a comprehensive review of past achievements but also demonstrates the university's commitment to leading industry innovation in the future. Central South University's Transportation Engineering discipline will adopt a more open approach, integrate global innovation resources, and continue to contribute 'Central South wisdom' to the global advancement of rail transit technology.
